Robert Hales Brown, 77, of Troy, Ohio died on Friday, January 06, 2006 at his residence. He was born December 21, 1928 in Troy, Ohio to the late Mildred McGalliard and Howard Brown. A graduate of Elizabeth Township High School in 1946, he went on to receive degrees from The Ohio State University in 1953 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1953 with a degree in the College of Music, Maryville College in 1958 with a B.A. Degree in Sociology, and the University of Dayton in 1967 with a Master Teaching Degree. He was an officer in the United States Army. Later he taught school in the Urbana City School System. From 1961 to 1986 he taught Special Education in the Kettering City School System. He was a member of Cove Spring United Church of Christ. He is survived by sisters, Josephine Wallace and Rosemary Trissell, brother, Thomas Brown and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions my be made to Animal Welfare League, C/O Libby Bates Adams, 701 Basswood Drive, Springfield, OH 45504. Private services will be held at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio. Burial will take place at Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio.
