Rita N. Rogers Rita N. Rogers, age 82, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 1:00PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Brighton Gardens, Centerville, Ohio. She was born on December 11, 1925 in Troy, to the late Clarence and Mabel Kelly Nash. She was married to James Paul Rogers who preceded her in death on January 3, 2004. She is survived by one daughter, Debra Thornton of Summerville, S. Carolina; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry L. and Leslie Rogers of Dayton; three granddaughters: Stacie Thornton, Charity and husband, Darrell Wiggins and Raina and husband Todd Shultheis; one great-grandson, Drayton Wiggins and one great-granddaughter, Ellie James Shultheis. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary E. Nash and Martha J. Smith; and one brother, Charles Nash. Mrs. Rogers was a 1944 graduate of Troy High School. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tipp City, Ohio and of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, Ohio. She retired from Hobart Corp. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30AM on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tipp City, Ohio with Rev. Fr. R. Marc Sherlock officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
