Rickie D. "Rick" Smallwood, age 68, of Conover, OH passed away on August 27, 2024 at Hospice of Miami County. He was born on November 29, 1955 in Dayton to the late Jessie and Janice (Heizer) Smallwood.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years of marriage: Elizabeth M. "Beth" (Massie) Smallwood; son: Samuel Roger "Sam" Smallwood; brother: Rexel "Rex" (Beth) Smallwood; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother: Ronnie Smallwood and sister: Rhonda Bergman.

Rick was a 1974 graduate of Miami East High School.  He was a member of Franklin Lodge #14 F&AM, Franklin Chapter #24 Royal Arch Masons and Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton.  He was a longtime plumber in the area and retired from General Motors Company.

He loved fishing and was an avid Bengals fan. He was a wonderful husband and father and loved by many.

The family will receive friends from 4:00PM-7:00PM on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy followed by Masonic Service at 7:00PM.  Private interment will take place in Casstown Cemetery.
