Richard Swigart, age 80, of Fairborn, OH passed away on February 23, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1944 in Troy, OH to the late Howard and Virginia (Schurr) Swigart.

He is survived by his daughter: Kari Swigart of VA; siblings: Carolyn (Larry) Boze of Troy, John Swigart of Fletcher, Dave (Sandy) Swigart of Casstown, Kathryn Catlin of Severn, MD, Raymond Swigart of Troy, Michael Swigart of Troy and Virginia (Jerry) Lewis of Tipp City and uncle and aunt: Donald and Roma Stump of Kenansville, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Paul Swigart and sister-in-law: Beverly Swigart.

Richard was a 1962 graduate of Troy High School.  He served his country in the US Marines. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Wright State University.

He retired from the Balancing Company in Vandalia. He was a volunteer with the Beavercreek Wetlands and Greene County Park District. He enjoyed photography and wood crafting.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 28, 2025, in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, with Rev. David Brisker officiating.
