Richard E. Priest Richard E. Priest, 75, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 8:58AM on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born February 18, 1932, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Richard O. and Rosemary Speller Priest. He was married to Rosemarie L. Burger Priest who preceded him in death on April 26, 2004. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Richard A. and Julie Priest of Troy, OH; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine M. and Dettleff Olson of Englewood, OH; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Patrick Conwell of Sun City, Ind.; brother, William Priest of Dayton, Ohio; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Albert and Jill Burger of Jackson, Ohio; and four grandchildren: Kristen Olson, Erik Olson, Adam Priest and Ryan Priest. Mr. Priest was also survived by his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Mr. Priest was a graduate of Chaminade High School, class of 1950 and in 1959, he received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton. He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church of Troy. Mr. Priest was a Korean War veteran, serving in the US Army. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion, Post 43. He retired in 1995 as Quality Control Manager with Copeland Corp. in Sidney, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30AM Friday, November 16, 2007, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, with Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, OH. Friends may call from 6-8PM Thursday at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
