Richard "Rick" Paul Metz, age 68, of Troy, OH passed away on December 29, 2024 at his residence.  He was born on February 22, 1956 in Wheeling, WV to the late Kenneth Lee Metz and Ruth Ann (Still) Metz.

Rick is survived by his wife: Elizabeth Ann (Lucas) Metz; daughter and son-in-law: Barbara (David) Dixon of Troy; brother: Steven Lee Metz of Wellsburg, WV; five grandchildren: Kira (Luke) Goodin, James McCloy, Anthony (Kjerstine) Dixon, Bethany (Zachary) Velosa and Levi Dixon; and four great grandchildren: Wyatt and Ryder Goodin, Liam McCloy and Amelia Dixon.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Katherine Ann Metz.

Rick was a graduate of 1974 Fairmont Sr. High School.  He served his country for 30 years in the US Navy, achieving the rank of EN-1(SW) and was then a Defense Department Contractor.  He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout during his years in Boy Scouts.  Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
