Richard E. Holfinger, 83, died at his residence on Friday, August 16, 2002. He is survived by two sons, Richard E. ''Rick'' Holfinger II and Mark S. Holfinger and a longtime companion, Emilee Good. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira J. and Effie O. Wilson Holfinger and a brother, John Holfinger. Mr. Holfinger was a WWII vet, US Army Air Corp; member of First United Church of Christ, Troy, Ohio; lifetime member of VFW Post 5436, AMVETS post 88, American Legion Post 43, Eagles 971, Elks #833, and Troy Fish and Game Club. He owned and operated Ullrey Oldsmobile in Troy;later worked for Joe Johnson Olds in Troy. Visitation will be from 5-8PM Monday, 8/26 at Baird Funeral Home with a service at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, 8/27 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. There wlil be special Eagles, Elks and VFW Honor Guard. Contributions may be made to the VFW Honor Guard.
