Richard William "Buddy" Wion, 75, of Troy died Fri. April 12, 2002 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born Oct. 12, 1926 to the late Floyd and Alice McGriff Wion. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary LongWion and a son Richard E. and his wife Bernice Wion of Troy; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; many good neighbors and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Sharon Plantz, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He was a member of the Troy Fish and Game. He retired in 1988 from Hobart Corporation as a Hi-lift Operator after 28 years of service. Funeral for Mr. Wion will be Wed. April 17, 2002 at 2:00PM at the Baird Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. James C. Wilson II officiating. Burial will be in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 PM Tues. April 16.
