Obituary

Rheta Bridges Rheta Bridges, age 75, of Troy, Ohio, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 29, 2009 after a lengthy illness. She was born on January 25, 1934 in Haddix, Kentucky. She leaves behind three daughters and sons-in-law: Vickey Lynn Randy Adkins, Patricia Ann Ken Murray and Barbara Jo Steve Welch all of Troy; four sisters and three brothers-in-law: Jerri Honeycutt of Dayton, Ohio, Verna Robert Stahl of Dayton, Ohio, Helen Gene Wickline of Pickerington, Ohio and Faye Charles Lovely of Lexington, Kentucky; two brothers and a sister-in-law: McKinley Campbell Jr. of Dayton, Ohio and Wayne Merke Campbell of Jackson, Kentucky; five grandchildren: Leslie Marie David Bell, Holly Rae Trent Davis, Ashley Patricia Adkins, Heather Lynn Welch and Tyler Robert Welch; and one great-grandson, Samuel Allen Bell. She also leaves behind a precious church family and a little friend and companion, Freckles. Rheta was preceded in death by her parents, McKinley and Olivia Haden Campbell; her husband, Robert Dale Bridges on December 23, 2002; two sisters, Ruth Noble and Lois Campbell and three brothers, Russell, Gordon and Willard Campbell. She is a member of First Baptist Church, Vandalia, Ohio and an active participant in Classics. Rheta was a retired homemaker and worked part time as a merchandiser with DSI. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the First Baptist Church, Vandalia, Ohio, with Pastor David Starry officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call from 11:00AM-1:00PM on Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
