Rex Pitts, age 86, of Troy, OH passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit.  He was born on December 20, 1930 in Hazard, KY to the late Charles and Bertie (McIntosh) Pitts.  He was married to Lillie M. (Quillen) Pitts for 65 years and she preceded him in death on February 4, 2012.

Rex is survived by his son: Ronnie Pitts of Troy; granddaughter: Ronda Pitts of Sidney; daughter-in-law: Kathleen Pitts of Sidney; and one sister: Nellie Daugherty of Romney, WV.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother: Kurt Pitts; and two sisters: Sarah Miller and Eva Stacy.

Rex was a member of the Troy Apostolic Temple, now Life Ministries.  He loved old cars, garage sales and auctions.  Rex was a former professional wrestler and enjoyed watching wrestling and NASCAR in his later years.  He was an employee for nearly 40 years at the former Brown Bridge Company.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Baird Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
