Rebecca "Becky" Pappas, age 71, of Troy, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Koester Pavilion in Troy.  On October 3, 1950, she was born in Troy to the late William "Bill" and Mary (Helmick) Hartman.

Her husband David John Pappas, children, Matthew David (Sarah) Pappas of Troy and Michelle Rebecca Pappas of Columbus; her brother Robert (Joyce) Hartman of Pickerington; and one grandchild: Rowan Matthew Pappas survive Becky.

Becky earned her bachelor's degree from Wright State University and attended both Troy Brethren and Ginghamsburg Church.  Becky served first as an Aid and then as a Treasurer's Assistant for Troy City Schools.  She had also served as Strawberry Festival General Chair, Strawberry Festival Art Show Chair, Festival of Nations Chair, Troy High School Soccer Parents Association President, and the Troy Soccer Club President.  Becky was a graduate of Leadership Troy and an organizer for Teen Leadership Troy. Passionate for music and dance, she was an adult participant in local dance studios for more than twenty years.

The family will host a Celebration of Life with a time and location to be determined.  The family has entrusted Baird Funeral Home in Troy with all the funeral arrangements.
