Rebecca A. Hunley-Caplinger, age 68, of Troy, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati.  She was born on December 27, 1954, in Nurenburg, Germany, to the late Jack and Lillian (Odell) Schultz.

Rebecca is survived by her husband: John D. Caplinger; seven children: Renee Ward, Shane Hunley, Tony, Kevin and Rodney Allen, Kyle and Andrew Caplinger; nine grandchildren: Zane, Kade, Lilyanah, Devon, Mason, Natalie, Madison, Abel and Colton; and two sisters: Jackie Call and Deborah Schultz.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother: John Schultz; and one sister: Kathy Waymire.

Rebecca was a graduate of Milton Union High School.  She later received her Associates Degree and worked as a nurse. She enjoyed art and oil painting.  Rebecca was very active in veteran's association.  She was the President of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary (DAVA) Chapter in Troy.

Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 2, 2023, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Troy.  Family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
