Raymond Thomas Staruch, age 64, of Troy, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at his residence after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on March 29, 1951 in Yonkers, New York to the late Michael J. Staruch and Margaret Staruch. He was married to Rosario (Perez) Staruch for over 41 years and she survives. Ray is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Vivian (Rory) Paikai of Hawaii and Stacey (Joshua) Lambert of Utica, Ohio; one brother: Michael Staruch of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; two sisters: Mary Ramos and Patricia Staruch both of Yonkers, New York; and five granddaughters: Kihei, Mele, Ala'i, Laney and Kennedy. He was also preceded in death by his birth mother: Vivian Mulhair.

Ray was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was a US Navy veteran, retiring after serving twenty four years. He was a member of the Troy Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5436 and the Troy Amvets Post 88. Ray worked as an electrician at Honda for the past sixteen years.

A memorial service for family and friends to celebrate Raymond's life will be conducted at 1:00PM on Saturday June 20, 2015 at the Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Military Honors by the Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. Family will also receive friends following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 2220 Lefevre Rd, Troy, OH 45373.
