Raymond Paul "Bud" Shaeffer, age 82, of Troy, died on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Koester Pavilion, Troy, OH.  He was born on August 26, 1934 in Troy, OH.

Bud is survived by two sisters; Wanda (Thomas) Moore, El Paso, TX and Mary (Richard) Kadel, Troy, OH; nephew and best friend; Tim Rice, Casstown, OH; and many other nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his father and step-mother; Raymond Henry Shaeffer and Virginia (Houser) Shaeffer; brothers: William Lee Shaeffer, James Shaeffer, and Charles Rice; and sisters: Elsie Hoffman and Cynthia Rae Shaeffer.

Bud was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Troy.  He belonged to the the Franklin Lodge #14 F&AM, Troy and to the Troy Fish and Game.  Bud held 26 patents for Kitchen Aid and retired as an Engineering Designer at Hobart Manufacturing after many years of service.  In his spare time, Bud enjoyed woodworking.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, OH.
