Raymond L. Jones, 79, died Sunday July 6, 2003 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Barnes Jones; two children and daughter-in-law, Bob and Janice Jones and Robin Jones; brothers and sisters, MabelJerry Caldwell; Virginia Dwight Black; Viola Myron Potts;Violet George Vorpe;Dorothy Gene Campbell; four grandchildren, April Bill Sapp; Shelly Mike Welbaum; Trent Melinda Jones; and Abby Anthony; Eight great grandchildren: Vanessa Jesse Weger; Ian Welbaum; Dylan Taylor; Miranda Sharp; Elizabeth Jones; Heather Sapp; Michaela Welbaum and Brandon Sapp; Two great great grandchildren: Josua Weger and AdriAnne Weger. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Trubie and Melva Skaggs Jones. Mr. Jones attended Alcony Grace Church. He was WWII Navy veteran. He retired in 1985 from Citiy Transfer and Storage in Troy, Ohio Visitation will be Wednesday, July 9 from 5-8PM at Baird Funeral Home with a service at 1:00PM Thursday, July 10 at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Linkous officiating. There will be military honors at the cemetery.
