Ramey Samuel Sparks, Jr. of Piqua, OH passed away on September 12, 2020 at the Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit, Troy, OH.  He was born on April 21, 1962 in Portsmouth, OH to Georgia Faye (Potter) Ellison of Troy, OH and the late Ramey S. Sparks Sr.

In addition to his mother, Sam is survived by his wife of 34 years: Denise D. (Curry); two children: Kimberly (Christopher Irvin Sr.) Beatty of Dayton and Christopher (Mother of grandchildren: Jennifer Beisel) Sparks of Troy; five grandchildren: Katelyn Beisel, Mason Beisel, Colin Irvin, Christopher Irvin Jr. and Abigayle Irvin; four sisters: Zenda Rees of Troy, Melinda (Doug) McGraw of Dayton,  Melissa Brown of Miamisburg and Lois of FL.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother: William L. Sparks Sr. and niece: Amanda F. Sparks.

Sam attended Troy Schools.  He enjoyed playing cards, poker and the lottery; fishing, traveling, going to the casino boats, visiting with people and spending time with his grandkids.

No services are planned.  Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery in Troy.
