QUENTIN H. MILLET
QUENTIN H. MILLET, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Genesis/Troy Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Shelby County, OH on February 25, 1922 to the late Louis E. and Katherine J. (Cardo) Millet. In 1944, Quentin married his wife of 70 years, Marjorie P. (Pettay) Millet. She survives.
Quentin is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Frederick L. and Marcia Millet of Troy, OH; four daughters and sons-in-law: Tamara and Robert Schuller of Troy, OH, Anne and Max Welty of Saline, MI, Pamela and Robert Gibson of Elkhart, IN and Jan and Richard Wise of Gardner, KS; one sister: Juanita Beckert of Park Ridge, IL; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Quentin was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.
Quentin was a 1940 graduate of Troy High School and proudly served his country as a member of the US Merchant Marines during WW II. He was a very active member of First Methodist Church in Troy. In addition, Quentin was a member of the Concord Grange and Troy Senior Citizens and a former member Miami Co. Board of Building Appeals. He was founder and owner of Millet Builders. Quentin was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Troy with Rev. Dave Leckrone officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Saturday at the church.
