Obituary

Queen Darlene Davis age 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 25, 2021, at Ohio's Hospice of Miami County surrounded by family.  She was born June 25, 1940 in Huntington WV to the late Lloyd and Rosalie Bailey.  Surviving is her loving husband of 62 years Willis J. Davis.  Also surviving are her daughter Bambi (Lee), son Anthony (Debi), grandsons Matthew, Joseph (Jennifer), Nathan (Yurie), her brother Daniel (Patricia) Bailey of Fraser Michigan and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her three sisters Delores J. Baker, Alieta Dian Barnowske and Carolyn Faye Bailey, who passed away in infancy.

Darlene's greatest joy in life was being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She loved homemaking and dedicated her life to her home and family.  She was a born-again saint and prayer warrior who kept the Apostolic faith.  Darlene enjoyed a ministry of inspirational cards and letters of encouragement to extended family, many friends, and church members.  She loved memorizing bible scriptures and committing them to heart for daily strength and encouragement.

In lieu of flowers, family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N. County Rd. 25A, Troy, OH 45373 in appreciation of the staff for their loving care of Darlene. According to Darlene's wishes, a cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life service will be held for immediate family.
