Phyllis C. Welker Phyllis C. Welker, age 69, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 1:15AM on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Troy Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 28, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Jess and Sarah Lacey Hale. She is survived by her husband, Guy M. Welker; four sons and two daughters-in-law: Steven Welker of Troy, Jeffery and Ann West of Kentucky, Mark and Mary Welker of Florida and Christopher West of Troy; six daughters and four sons-in-law: Teresa and Craig Hancock of Troy, Sharon Bryant of Florida, Glenna and Andrew Anderson of Florida, Penny and Jerry Andress of Piqua, Deborah Beaty of Troy and Gail "Missy" Welker of Troy; brother-in-law, Richard Dungan of Tipp City; thirty-seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Welker was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Dungan and one brother, Thomas Hale. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Troy and for years she was known as "Pinky," a name given to her by her granddad. She was formerly employed with MAC and was also a home daycare provider. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with interment to follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio.
