Phyllis Jean Smith, 73, died at Piqua Manor, Piqua, Ohio on Tuesday, December 9, 2003. She is survived by her former husband, Bill Smith of Arcanum, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Lisa Smith of W. Milton, Ohio; daughter, Karen Smith of Troy, Ohio; sister, Patsy Sandefur Smith of Evansville, Indiana; four grandchildren, Roslyn, Bryan and Dylan Smith and Cody Myers-Smith. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Mabel Prather Sandefur, one sister, Marion Sandefur, and a brother, Ralph Sandefur. She was a member of Dayton Vineyard Christian Fellowship and was valedictorian of Clifford High School in Indiana. She was a secretary at Hobart Corporation for ten years. She previously worked at Arvin Industries, Inc., Columbus, Indiana. There will be graveside services at Flatrock Baptist Cemetery, Clifford, Indiana on Saturday, December 13, 2003.
