Philip Carl Trentine, 59 died at his residence on Monday, October 14, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Yvonne D. Smitley Trentine, two sons and daughter-in-law, Gordon B. and Juile Trentine and Geoffrey Bryce Trentine; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn J. Trentine and Phillip Hollinger; an aunt, Anne Fisher; a grandson, Joshua and granddaughter, Maegan. Mr. Trentine was a member of the Troy Noon Optimist; City of Troy Tax Abatement Committee; Troy Area Chamber of Commerce, including the Ambassadors; Troy Stadium Renovation Committee; Troy Strawberry Festival, including 2001 Chairman of the Festival and former chairman for the festival parade and the Friday night events; served on various committees for the Troy School System. He was a US Air Force Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Trentine was a graduate of Arcanum High School and retired Senior Agent with All State Insurance Company. Visititation will be from 3-5 and 7-9 on Thursday, October 17 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with a service at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 18, 2002 at Baird Funeral Home. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy Ohio with military Honor Guard at graveside. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County; American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
