Philip Kay Oldham, age 81, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 12:38PM on Monday, June 20, 2011 at his residence. He was born on December 26, 1929 in Troy to the late Chester and Ethel McCurdy Oldham. His wife of 53 years, Susan Jane Downing Oldham, preceded him in death on November 18, 2007. He is survived by four children: Beth Akins of Troy, Robin and Rev. Jon Jenkins of Troy, Mike and Lisa Oldham of Troy and Chris and Suzanne Oldham of Logan, Ohio; sister, Jo Ann Cummins of Troy; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Oldham was preceded in death by one grandchild. Mr. Oldham was a 1948 graduate of Troy High School. He attended Defiance College and graduated from the School of Architecture at Miami University. He was a US Army Veteran and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Troy. Mr. Oldham was a self-employed architect in Troy, working in the Miami Valley area from 1964 to the present. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with son, Mike Oldham officiating. Interment will follow in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio.
