Pearl M. James, age 93, of Troy passed away on December 10, 2021 at SpringMeade Health Center. She was born on May 5, 1928 in Jackson Co., OH to the late George and Effa (Nickell) Hodgson.

Pearl is survived by her husband of 70 years: James F. James of Troy; children: Evan (Sandy) James of Canton, NC, Allyn (Patty) James of Troy and Mary (Greg) Fritz of Troy; grandchildren: Ray James, Kim James Emery, Matt Beam and Megan Barhorst; great grandchildren: D'arcy, Rayanna, Zachary, and Ryker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Richard Matthew James; two sisters: Margaret Mills and Maralee Hodgson and two brothers: James and George Hodgson.

Pearl was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy. She was a loving wife, beloved mother, proud grandmother and great grandmother who greatly contributed to her church and community.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Rev. Dr. Chris Heckaman officiating.  Friends may call from 1:00-3:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Private interment will take place at Miami Memorial Park, Covington at a later date.
