It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pauline (Polly) Elleman, born October 16, 1937, to Orville and Ruth (Lawrence) Schweller. Pauline departed from this life on May 8, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication.

Pauline was a devoted wife to Gerald (Jerry), celebrating 68 wonderful years of marriage. She was a loving mother to Ken (Sharon), Janice (Tom), Julie (Rod), Scott, and Lori (Dave). Her joy extended to her cherished grandchildren-Matt, Geoff, Bryan (Rachel), Kevin (Shelby), Jeremy, John, Alex (Rachael), Jared (Jenna), Daniel, Cole, Molly, and Victoria-as well as her great-grandchild: Oliver.

She is survived by her brother and sisters-Marilyn (Jack), Rita, Kathy, and Jim (Pat)-and numerous beloved family members consisting of in-laws, Bruce (Arnita) and Jesse and many nieces and nephews. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Ruth Schweller; brother John Schweller; and her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Della Schweller, Robert Spanbauer, Loaine and Bill Leffler, Don and Barbara Elleman, Nancy Ferrell; nephew, Tom Elleman; and niece, Wendy Harm.

A passionate gardener and member of many garden clubs, Pauline's green thumb brought beauty and joy to her community and family alike. Her love of nature and her vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30AM on May 23, 2025 at Polk Grove Cemetery, Vandalia, with Chaplain Mark Batton officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Day City Hospice of Dayton or plant a flower in her memory.
