Paul E. Woolery Paul E. Woolery, age 93, of New Carlisle, Ohio, passed away at 9:30PM on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Belle Manor Nursing Home, New Carlisle. He was born on March 9, 1917 in Troy, Ohio to the late Foster and Ida Gray Woolery. He was married to Helen Lorene Long Woolery and she preceded him in death in 1999. His second wife, Nola E. Lilly Woolery survives. Other survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sondra and Dale Hasting of New Carlisle; four stepchildren: Ray Cline Shrewsberry of Austin, Texas, Edward Dean Shrewsberry of Nashville, Tennessee, Timothy Jay Shrewsberry of Illinois and Darla Jean and Tom Comer of Springfield, Ohio; one sister, Mary Jane Heischman of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Jean Woolery of Troy, Ohio; three grandsons: Douglas and Deirdre Hasting of Plain City, Ohio, Daniel and Libbee Hasting of New Carlisle and David and Tamera Hasting of New Carlisle; eight step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his first wife, Helen, Mr. Woolery was preceded in death by brothers: Robert, Eugene and Forrest Woolery and two infant brothers. He was a member of The Bridge in North Hampton, Ohio. Mr. Woolery retired in 1978 after 17 years of services as a toolmaker for Standard Register in Dayton, Ohio. Services will be held at 12:00PM on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Norman Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
