Paul K. Thorn died at ER - Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio on Sunday, August 18, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marguerite Ravenscraft; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and John Kingham; Teresa Harshbarger, Tina and John Zerkle and Paula and Ben Mitchell; grandchildren, Jamie, Josh and Justin Nern; Emily Taylor; Tyler and Taryn Laughman; Chelsey Hill; Casey and Ashland Barker, Great grandchildren, Tristen, Brayden and Abbe Nern. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steward and Edna Love Thorn and one sister, Betty Reese. Mr. Thorn was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy and active on various committees of the church; volunteer with FISH; board member for the Nicholas School. He was a US Army veteran. Mr. Thorn was a graduate of Lynn High School, Lynn, Indiana. Mr. Thorn was the former owner of Forest Products in Piqua and the Miami County Credit Bureau. He was a realtor with Garden Gate Realty. Vistiation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 Wednesday at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio, with a service at 1:00 Thursday, August 22 at First United Methodist Church, Troy, Ohio with Rev. Dr. James C. Wilson II officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio with VFW Memorial Honor Guard services at graveside.
