Paul S. Schaffner, 89, of Lake Placid, FL died October 24, 2006 at the Harborside Healthcare Center in Troy, Ohio. A former resident of Troy and Casstown, Ohio, Mr. Schaffner was born on August 9, 1917 to Frank M. and Grace Seigel Schaffner in Troy, Ohio. He is survived by his wife Doris Gillespie Martin Schaffner and his two sons: Paul E. Betty Schaffner of Troy, Oh and Donald R. Linda Schaffner of Mission Viejo, CA, also surviving him are his four grandchildren: Mark Debra Schaffner and family of Cincinnati, Oh, Julie Mike Hand and family of Sidney, Oh, Chris Shauna Schaffner of California, and David Schaffner of California and Great-grandchildren: Justin, Jessica, Jordan, and Daniel. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Lake Placid, FL, First United Church of Christ of Troy, Oh, and The Coast Guard Aux. serving in Ohio, Trojan Squares, the Ohio Farm Bureau and Cove Springs Grange. He graduated from Covington High School in Covington, OH. He retired from Hobart Brothers Troy, OH in 1982 and was a farmer for over 25 years. A memorial service will be held Saturday November 4, 2006 at the Riverside Cemetery Chapel, Troy, Oh. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Troy, Oh.
