PAUL V. SAGE

PAUL V. SAGE, age 84, of Troy, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at his residence.  He was born in Sidney, OH on August 18, 1929 to the late Franklin and Ruth Sage.  Paul married Patricia R. (Neves) Sage.  She preceded him in death in 1998.

Paul is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Melisa and Kenneth Crabtree of Troy; one brother: Marlin Sage of Piqua; two grandchildren: Mandy (Kevin) Palivec and Kenneth A. Crabtree; four great grandchildren: Alivia, Gunner, Cooper and Bronsen (Little Paul); and his best friend and loving companion: Pepper the Pug.  In addition to his wife and parents, Paul was preceded in death by one son: Tony L. Sage; one sister: Alberta; and one brother: Harold.

Paul was a member of First United Methodist Church in Troy.  Paul proudly served his country as a member of the US Army during the Korean War.  He was an avid fisherman and loved working on lawn mowers. He retired after 30 years at Dinner Bell Foods in Troy.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Dave Leckrone officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Troy with Veteran's Honor Guard Services.  Friends may call from 1-2 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
