Paul Marvel, age 66, of Troy, OH passed away at his residence on December 25, 2023.  He was born December 31, 1956 in Quincy, Illinois, to the late Lemuel Paul and Edith Lorraine (Eckert) Marvel.

Paul was a 1975 graduate of Troy High School, Troy, Ohio.  He was an accomplished machinist and owned his own business for several years, Velmar Machine and Tool.  For the last 15 years, he was employed by R and D Machine of Troy.  Paul was a talented artist specializing in detailed colored pencil and ink drawings.  In his earlier years, he exceled in the martial arts.  Paul liked to cook and always made turkey with all the trimmings for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  He perfected a crab stuffed mushroom recipe that was a family favorite on holidays.  Paul loved video gaming, sci-fi and adventure movies, Corvettes, Cassano's pizza, the Waffle House before work, and most of all, spending time with his family.  He was friendly to all and had a great sense of humor.

He is survived by his children, whom he loved dearly and who were the lights of his life: son Cohen Marvel and daughter Alyssa Marvel, both of North Manchester, IN.  He is also survived by two sisters:  Mary Marvel of Delaware, OH and Cheryl Akers, of Ottawa, Ohio.  He was greatly loved by his family and will be tremendously missed always.

Services will take place at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 1:00PM with interment to follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington, OH. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00AM – 1:00PM on Tuesday.
