Paul F. Leonhard Jr. Paul F. Leonhard Jr., age 66, of Troy, Ohio, died at 10:35AM on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at his residence after a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. He was born on August 31, 1943 in Celina, Ohio to Emily J. Howell Leonhard and the late Paul F. Leonhard Sr. In addition to his mother, Mr. Leonhard is survived by his wife, Annette M. Iannetti Leonhard; two daughters, Melissa A. David Dues of Hartland, Michigan and Nicole M. Riley of Troy, Ohio; one son, Christian P. Leonhard of Parker, Colorado; and five grandchildren: Ashton, Kearston and Payton Riley and Noah and Alexa Dues. He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Vicki L. Market. After graduation from Memorial High School in St. Marys, OH, Paul joined the Air Force where he was stationed at Otis Air Force Base, MA from 1962-1965. While there, he met and married Annette M. Iannetti Leonhard on September 27, 1964. After work in the Air Force, Paul and Annette returned to Ohio to own and operate Leonhard's IGA grocery store in St. Marys from the late 60's through the 70's. In the early 80's, Paul returned to Air Force work at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a civilian electronics technician until his retirement as a technical order manager in 2007. Concurrently, Paul worked aircraft maintenance for the Air Force Reserve until his 1996 retirement as a Master Sergeant. He was a member of the American Legion in St. Marys and Tipp City and of the First Lutheran Church of Troy and Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys. His activities included fishing, reading and hunting. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially with his grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the First Lutheran Church, Troy with Rev. Ric Barnes officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Troy, with full military honors at the graveside provided by Wright Patterson Air Force Base Honor Guard.
