Paul E. Lamka Paul E. Lamka, age 79, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 after a lengthy illness surrounded by his family at home. He was born on July 27, 1931 in Fletcher, Ohio to the late Charles and Ruth Gump Lamka. His wife of 58 years, Esther M. Kroger Lamka, survives. Other survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Debra McMullen Hanger and Jim Hanger of Indian Lake, two sons and daughters-in-law: Steven and Beth Lamka and Douglas and Judi Lamka all of Troy; brothers and sisters-in-law: Keith and Jodell Lamka and Richard and Carolyn Lamka all of California; grandchildren: A.J. Jessie McMullen, Cara Brian Stephey, Alicia Ken Smith, Leann Lamka and Erik Lamka; and great-grandchildren: Brogan Stephey, Bella McMullen and Beckhem Stephey. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Fred McMullen. Paul was a 1950 graduate of Troy High School. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and watching his grandchildren's sporting events. He bowled and pitched horseshoes for many years. Paul retired after 42 years of service as a welding foreman with Hobart Brothers Company. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio, with Rev. Paul Calvert officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
