Paul J. Dill age 76, of Troy, Ohio died Friday, July 18, 2008 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born August 22, 1931 in Piqua, Ohio to Clifford G. and Mary Frances Hutchinson Dill, both of whom preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Lenora Wears Dill; a daughter, Kathy J. Jackson of Troy, Ohio; brother, Donald C. Shirley Dill of Piqua, Ohio; sister, Nancy Robert Brading of Piqua, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jennifer Joe Kalmar of Troy, Ohio; Patrick Brennan, Christopher Brennan and Aimee Brennan all of New York; and one great-grandchild, Kaylee Kalmar. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Linda Brennan, brothers, Bill and Harold Dill and sisters, Lucille Zimmerlin, Ruth Lange, Marjorie Bomhard and Barbara Brading. Paul was a 1949 graduate of Piqua High School. Attended First Baptist Church, Troy, Ohio; a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army, a member of the Troy VFW; Troy AmVets; Troy Fish and Game Club; and formerly active with Troy Moose Lodge; Troy Redmens Lodge and Sertoma Club. Paul loved fishing, hunting, gardening and playing cards with family. He was former owner/operator of Paul's Ideal Market, Troy, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with Rev. Ed Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio with VFW Memorial Honor Guard Services at graveside. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, July 21, 2008 from 5-8PM.
