Paul E. Botkin Sr., 86, of Vinton, Ohio and formerly of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Monday, July 12, 2004 at 2:45am at the Holser Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born on May 10, 1918 in Tipp City, Ohio to the late Charles and Estella Foster Botkin. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy May Zeller Botkin and their three children; Sons and Daughter-in-law: Paul E. & Denise Botkin Jr. of Curran, MI; Larry D. Botkin of Bidwell, OH; and daughter & son-in-law: Marsha Lynn & Steve Elliott of Covington, OH. He is also survived by his sisters; Hazel Jack Dexter of Tipp City, OH; Juanita Sass and Betty Robert Niles of West Milton and Joyce John Yuhaus of Montezuma, OH. He has five grandchildren; Larry J. Botkin; Wade A. Botkin; Scott S. Elliott; Nathan I. Elliott; and Jaclyn Botkin. Also five step-grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters; Cassandra E. Elliott and Courtney Rose Elliott. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters and four brothers. He was a member of the Franklin Lodge #14F&AM, Troy, OH and lifemember of the National Council of Senior Citizens. Served in the 3C's at the age of 17. He retired in 1980 as an electrician with IBEW Local #82 of Dayton, Ohio; member of Union for 55 years. His interest included travel, fishing, hunting, reading, cooking and loved his work. Steve Elliott will be officiating and there will be special musice provided by members of Grace Baptist Church, Ludlow Fallls, Ohio. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
