Patrick L. Sims, 61, of Troy, Ohio died on Friday, March 25, 2005 at 5:30AM in the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio after a sudden illness. He was born on October 9, 1943 in Celina, Ohio to the late Roy Herman and Twyla Lehman Sims. He married Shirley Riffell, and she survives, wife of 33 years. Also surviving are two children, daughters & son-in-law; Amanda Sims of San Diego, California and Christina Bret Gossett of Tipp City, Ohio; two brothers, Dr. Marion Sims of Florida and Robert and wife Joan Sims of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters; Royanna and husband Denny Wolters of Oakwood and Mary and husband Dale Knapke of Sidney, Ohio. He was preceded in death by grandson, Tanner Sims and parents. He served in the US Army, serving in the Vietnam War; Troy Fish and Game; Amvets amd VFW Post 5436. He was a retired Electronics Technician at Smith-Leland, Vandalia. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 12:30PM at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with the Rev. Fr. Jim Duell. Burial will be at Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio. Friends may call on the family, Tuesday, March 29, 2005 from 5-8PM at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio.
