Patrick Douglas James, a resident of Troy, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 29, 2021 at the age of 42.

Patrick was born in Piqua, Ohio on August 26, 1979 to Patricia and Douglas James.  He was a 1997 graduate of Covington High School. He became a journeyman electrician through the Joint Vocational School. He was employed through City Electric Company in Troy.

Patrick is survived by his wife of 20 years: Nichole Francis James; his children: Lillyan and Dawson, both at home; his parents: Patricia and Douglas James; his sister and brother-in-law: Kristi and Chance Barnhart and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: John and Clara James and Martin and Judy Black.

Patrick was an amazing son, husband, father, and friend.  He always enjoyed bowling with his friends and family.  He also enjoyed fishing and playing basketball with his son. Patrick spent years coaching and assisting his daughter's softball teams. He loved watching his favorite movies while eating popcorn and spending days with his family. Patrick was always the hardest working person in the room and a role model to everyone he knew.

A service will be held at 6 PM, Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-6PM prior to the service.
