Patricia Ann Twiss Patricia Ann Twiss, age 83, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Sterling House of Troy. She was born on April 22, 1929 in Erie, Pennsylvania, to the late Alton and Annette Douglas Lutz. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, William Douglas and Diane Twiss, and Robert Custer and Janet Elizabeth Christie Twiss all of Troy; three daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Elizabeth and Mark Alan Welty, Sandra Lee and Larry Stephen Smith, and Sharon Patricia and Billy Joe Emerick all of Troy; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her former husband, William Custer Twiss, and one daughter, Sally Ann Twiss. She was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School, Erie, Pennsylvania, and a graduate of Maryland College for Women. Patricia was a member of The Synod School of the United Presbytery, and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Troy, where she also served as former elder, deacon, choir member, and Stephen Ministry leader. She was a volunteer with the church Women's Retreats; former volunteer with Health Partners, Partners in Hope, Troy Lunch Club, and Migrant Ministry; and a former board member with Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney, Ohio. She served as a volunteer for 25 years at Stouder Memorial Hospital, Troy. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church, Troy, with Rev. Dr. Richard Culp officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call from 4-7PM on Thursday at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
