Patricia Ann Pat Freeman, age 68, of Troy, Ohio died Friday, September 18, 2009 at Vitas Hospice, Dayton, Ohio after a short illness. She was born February 17, 1941 in Royalton, Kentucky the daughter of the late Harry James and June Wireman Watson. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Jim Freeman in 1981. Pat is survived by her best friend and companion, Tom Richmond of Troy, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Elisa Netzley Alspaugh and David D.W.Alspaugh of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Wesley and Miller Alspaugh of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and James Jim Duvall of Beavercreek, Ohio; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Elizabeth Libby Watson of Hartsville, Alabama; nieces, Sonya Duvall, Linda Duvall, Elizabeth Beth Watson; nephews, Jonathan Watson and Wesley Watson. She received a BA in Education from Eastern Kentucky University and a Masters Degree from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio. Pat retired as a school teacher from Troy City Schools and the Dayton City School System after 33 years of service. Her enjoyments were family, friends, traveling, golf, and working with children. A memorial service will be held 2:30PM Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio. A gathering of family and close friends will be held immediately following the service at the Troy Country Club on Thursday.
