OPAL PAULINE BURTON

Opal Pauline Burton, age 83, of Troy passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014 at her residence.  She was born in Greenup, KY on April 17, 1930 to the late Alvin and Ruth Eva (Logan) Osborne.  Pauline married William Burton.  He preceded her in death on July 20, 2002.

Pauline is survived by three daughters and son-in-law: Bonnie Niswonger, Katherine Burton-Robertson and Patricia and Mark Kingrey, all of Troy, OH; one son: Roger Burton of Lucasville, OH; two sisters and brother-in-law: Bessie and Joe Getter of Troy, OH and Connie Howerton of Franklin Furnace, OH; three brothers and sisters-in-law: John and Doris Osborne of Elyria, OH, Ray and Maxine Osborne of Troy, OH and Raymond Osborne of Troy, OH; thirteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Janet Burton; one daughter-in-law: Sharon Burton; two grandchildren: Mike Beard and Guerin Kaulitz; and one great granddaughter: Gabrielle Blevins.

Pauline attended Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church.  She had worked for the Helen of Troy for 6 years and Orchard Supper Club for 17 years.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. Ed. Ellis officiating.  Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, OH.  Friends may call from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
