Norma Alberta (Smith) Karnehm age 87 of Conover, Ohio passed away on May 5, 2025.

She was born August 22, 1937 to the late Philip Andrew and Susan (Shaffer) Smith.

Norma is survived by her Sister Alma Stahl, Brother Garnard Smith, Her six son's Richard (Babbie) Karnehm of Fletcher; Mark (Jean) Karnehm of Bradford; Ron (Debi) Karnehm of Fletcher; Gary Karnehm of Troy; Stuart Karnehm of Conover; Kevin Karnehm of Fletcher, Her grandchildren Bryan Karnehm; Stephanie (Michael) Hartley; Samantha (Matt) Everett; Kasie (Tyler) Clarkson; Tabitha Karnehm; Benjamin (Moli) Karnehm; Devin Karnehm; Trevor Karnehm; Elizabeth (Nick) Morrow; Dawn (Tom) Wallace and 14 great grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her husband of 67 years of marriage Robert "Bob" Karnehm, two grandchildren Christopher Cody Karnehm and Camron Stuart Karnehm. Her nephews Mike Smith, Terry Smith and sister-in-law Imo-Jean.

Norma was a 1955 Brown Local Graduate. She drove a school bus for Miami East Local Schools for 40 years. Norma was a proud member of the Miami County Cattlemen's and active with 4-H for 65 years, She competed at the Ohio State Bus Rodeo for 30 years, a Farm Bureau Member and a volunteer at the AB Graham Center.

Norma loved being surrounded by her family and friends. Over the 40 years of her driving school buses for Miami East so many kids got to meet and know her over the years. She enjoyed spending time with her husband on their farm and watching the family grow over the years. Norma was loved very much by her family and will be greatly missed.

Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Sunday.
