Norma Louise Pickering, age 82, of Troy, OH passed away on September 27, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton.  She was born on April 26, 1942 in Laura, OH to the late Lloyd and Clara (Beesley) Spitler.

Louise is survived by her husband of almost 61 years of marriage: Jon H. Pickering; son: Jon M. Pickering of Troy; daughter: Tara L. (Donald) Babb of Xenia; grandchildren: Joshua (Laurie) Pickering, Shayla Babb and Marissa Babb; great grandchildren: Gavin Pickering, Gavin Schaare and Aubree Schaare; siblings: Ellen Rue of Laura and Julia Gelbert of Union.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: Marvin Spitler and sister: Juva Jean.

Louise enjoyed drag racing, woodworking and was a member of the NHRA.  She was a school cafeteria worker at Troy City Schools for 20 years.

Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 4, 2024 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy with interment to follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington.  The family will receive from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the funeral home.
