NORBERT L. STAGER, SR., age 81, of Troy passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. He was born in Troy on November 30, 1933 to the late Roscoe and Edna (Welborn) Stager. His wife, Peggy J. (Crocker) Stager, preceded him in death on December 23, 2006. Norbert is survived by two sons: Norbert (Sharon) Stager, Jr. of Lorain and Rick Stager of Troy; one sister: Amaryllis Grubbs of FL; sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Norbert was preceded in death by one grandson: Matthew Stager; one brother: Keith Stager and one sister: Millicent Stager. Norbert proudly served his country as member of the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked in heating and air conditioning with the Huffacker Heating & Air Conditioning Company. Norbert was owner/operator of Stager's Frontier Restaurant in Troy from 1980 to the late 1990's. Graveside service will be held at 3:00PM on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH with the Rev. Joe Hill officiating. Honor guard services will take place at the cemetery.
