Nora Mae Kain was born July 4, 1910 in Covington, Ohio to the late Judd and Leila Peiffer Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband Delmar E. Kain. Nora Mae is survived by her daughters: Karen Kain Gavitt of Troy and Marilyn Kain Ledford and husband Lieutenant General Frank Ledford of San Antonio Texas; Granddaughter Dr. Cheryl Ledford and husband Dr. Michael Sebesta and great grandchildren Noah and Marlo of Jackson, Tennessee. Nora Mae will be missed and remembered by her sisters: Frances Brock of Tipp City, Jean Miller Joyce Simon and Judy Boehringer all of Covington, Ohio. Nora Mae graduated from Covington High School and studied at the Dayton Art Institute where she met and married her husband Delmar. She was a window designer at J.C. Penny's in Troy for 25 years. She enjoyed gardening, travel, handcrafts and volunteering at Hayner Cultural Center. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Troy. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Baird Funeral Home of Troy. Friends may call on the family two hours prior to the service from 9-11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Covington, Ohio. If desired memorial contributions may be made to the Hayner Cultural Center, 301 W.
