Nikita Marie Ward Nikita Marie Ward, age 56, of Troy, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 6, 2010 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born on January 5, 1954 in Troy to Sandra Pemberton Kolker of Troy and the late Warren Whitmore. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Shelby Lee Ward Sr. of Troy; her daughter, Shelly Ward-Halcomb of Troy; brothers and sisters: Yvonne Cornwell of Sharonville, Ohio, Michael Whitmore of Piqua, Ohio, Sabina Slayton of Indiana and Theodore Kolker of Troy; two grandsons: Edward Allen Knight of Huber Heights, Ohio and Brandon Alexander Ward of Troy and a granddaughter, Courtney Crawford of Troy. In addition to her father, Nikita was preceded in death by her son, Shelby Lee Ward Jr. on August 23, 2006; two infant sons and two infant daughters. She attended Troy High School. Nikita enjoyed bingo and spending time with family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
