Nicholas " Nick" S. Kitchen, age 79, of Troy, OH passed away on January 11, 2023 at the Upper Valley Medical Center ER.  He was born on October 28, 1943 in Troy, OH to the late Delbert and Bernice (Mauley) Kitchen.

Nick is survived by his wife of 60 years: Lorna (Rees) Kitchen; children: Chris (Stacy) Kitchen of Troy and Craig (Gina Gilman) Kitchen of Troy; five  grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings: Nancy Kitchen-Drake of Troy and Jon (Birdie) Kitchen of Greenville and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Donald Lee Kitchen Sr., James Kitchen, Ruth Ann Kitchen and brother-in-law: Robert Drake.

He was a 1961 graduate of Miami East High School.  Nick retired from Hobart Corp. after 38 years as a process engineer. He was a member of the Stokes Lodge #305 F&AM in Port Jefferson and Scottish Rite of Dayton, Troy Eagles and Troy Fish and Game. Nick enjoyed antique cars and fishing.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the Baird Funeral Home in Troy with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, with Christine Moore officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the funeral home.
