Nelson Eugene Pike, age 64, of Covington, OH passed away on December 26, 2023 at Hospice of Miami County.  He was born on July 24, 1959 in Troy to the late Robert Eugene and Nellie Mae (Westfall) Pike.

He is survived by his daughter: Ashley (Eddie) Potter of Piqua; grandchildren: Austyn, Ryker and Kaylee Potter; partner: Vicki Iddings of Covington; siblings: Ruth Ann Doyle of Piqua, Gerry (Robert) Albany of Greenville, Dorothy (Joe) Gutierrez of Piqua and Bob "Bobby" Pike of Great Falls, MT and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: David Pike and sisters: Debra Bentley and Sarah Jacobs.

Nelson attended Troy City Schools.  He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Troy and enjoyed bluegrass music, fishing, Derby cars, training sulky horses and working at and attending flea markets.  Nelson also enjoyed roller coasters and bungee jumping.  He was employed with Hobart Corporation, Plant 27 for 32 years.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Pastors Keith Fisher and Rich Baker officiating.  Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home and concluded with Eagles Service.
