Neil P. Preston, age 68, of Troy, OH passed away on December 6, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital.  He was born on March 4, 1956 in Dayton, OH to the late Leland and Frances (Denesia) Preston.

Neil is survived by wife of 46 years: Debora (Benning) Preston; son: Richard (Carmen) Preston of Hilliard, OH; sister: Elizabeth Schultz of Westminster, CO; brother: Brian (Maureen) Preston of Baltimore, OH; grandchildren: Lia Preston and Emerson Preston and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Robert Preston; two brothers Terry and Dennis Preston.

Neil was a 1974 graduate of Bethel High School and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Resources from The Ohio State University.  He was a member of the Troy Eagles.  Neil was a water chemist for the City of Columbus for 35 years.  He loved playing golf and spending summers in the UP on Point Abbaye.

A Graveside Service will be held at a later date in Reber Hill Cemetery in Ashville, OH.  Memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society at www.humanesociety.org.
