Obituary

Ned Cooper, age 79, died Sunday June 16, 2002 in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH. The son of Alfred Warren And Ruth Pearson Cooper who preced him in death. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, June Eileen Wilshire Cooper; One daughter & Son-in-Law, June Aretta ''Jackie'' & Armand Tremblay of Vandalia, OH; One son & daughter-in-law, Ned Arthur ''Nic'' & Jane Cooper of Manchester, MI. Brothers & Sister-in-Law, Paul D. Cooper of Chattanooga, TN; Dr. Warren A. & Dorothy Cooper of Sarasota, FL; Robert E. & Shirley Cooper of Piqua, OH; Martin J. & Laura Ellen Cooper of Indialantic, FL; Nannette L. Cooper of Grove City, OH. Sister & Brothers-in-Law, Ruth N. & Dale Petersimes of Sidney, OH; George Anderson of Piqua, OH. Four Grandchildren, Martha Tremblay; Matthew Tremblay; Angela Nicole Cooper & Sara Janette Cooper. One Great-Grandchild, Emily Watson. He was preceded in death by his parents; Three brothers, Alfred, Authur and Benjamin and one sister, Imogene Anderson. He was a Member, Trustee, and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church, Troy, OH; former member of Piqua Optimist Club; Troy Kiwanis Club and Big Brothers. A U.S. Navy Veteran serving in WWII. He graduated from the Ohio State University. Retired in 1988 after 43.5 years of service from Hobart Corporation with a membership in the Quarter Century Club there. He also served as an Ombudsman at Piqua Manor Nursing Home. Contributions can be made to the Capital Building Fund at the Church.
