Nancy Charlene (Riggsby) Lewis, 85, passed peacefully February 2, 2024, at her home.  She was born on August 17th, 1938, in Sandy Hook, KY, the daughter of the late Clay Wade and Dorothy Lee (Jarrells) Riggsby

Nancy was a graduate of Troy High School.  She was a very social soul and loved meeting new visitors during the many garage sales she hosted.  Repurposing furniture was a passion and she was always happy if she had a project and some paint.  She enjoyed gardening, going to the Troy Senior Citizens Center, casinos, (her words…going to work!), and garage sales.  Nancy made blankets for Hospice and delivered meals to shut-ins.  She illustrated the value of caring for others and was a role model to many.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte Gail and Monte Snyder of Troy, OH; daughter and son-in-law: Janet and Matthew Bretland of Troy, OH; son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Melissa Lewis of Concord, CA; grandchildren: Christopher and Emilie Martin of Casstown, OH; Casey and Carla Martin of Troy, OH; Sean Martin of Troy, OH; Mollie Bretland of Columbus, OH; Jenna (Keith) Walthers of Alexandria, KY;  Dylan Lewis and Erik Lewis of Concord, CA; and sisters: Suzi (Doug) Niswonger of Fletcher, OH and Dora Jean Horn of Flint, MI.

Visitation will be from noon – 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 8th, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy, with a service immediately following.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
