Myrtle Davis passed away Thursday, August 29, 2002, at Koester Pavilion. Myrtle was born February 1, 1910 to Estella Macy May and Ora Burns May in Troy, Ohio She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Fred E. Davis, and one daughter, Jane Campbell and her husband, Doug Campbell; three grandsons, Skip Fred McConnell and Barb Spigarelli of Kansas, Michael and Maryse McConnell of New Hampsire and Joseph McConnell and Erik Haagensen of New York; one granddaughter, Shelley and John Denney of Troy; nine great grandchildren, Monica and Brian Ellis, Michelle and Travis Huffine, Jenniffer and Rich Finkelson, Marc Mcconnell, Alexis McConnell, Sarah Boehringer, Joshua Boehringer; Step great granchildren, Aaron and Alexandra Denney, and five great great great grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters-in-law, Edna May, Jean May and Ada May of Troy, Dorothy Davis of Tipp City and Dorthea Davis of Piqua. Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, Estell and Ora May; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mecie and Charles Davis; brothers, Paul May of St. Louis, Elwyn May, Bryan May and George May of Troy; and one sister, Juanita Wright of Troy. Myrtle was a life long member of the First United Church of Christ. She retired as treasurer from the Troy-Tipp Telephone Company. She was a life member of Telephone Pioneers of America. Myrtle was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was very much a family person, dearly loved in return. Services will be at 1:00PM Tuesday, September 3, 2002 at Sarah Hayner Dickey Chapel in Riverside Cemetery. Vistitation will be prior to the service, 12:00 - 1:00PM Contributions may be made to the First United Church of Christ, Troy, Ohio
