Morris F. "Bud" McKinney Morris F. "Bud" McKinney, age 76, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 4:53AM Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, after a lengthy illness. He was born May 22, 1931, in Piqua, Ohio, to the late Roscoe E. McKinney Sr. and Florence LaChat McKinney. His wife of 55 years, Louise Macy McKinney, survives. Bud is also survived by his five children: Susan Steve Kirby of Hamilton, OH, Brenda Greg Pearson of Hamilton, OH, Shane Tracy McKinney of Trenton, OH, Todd Tresa McKinney of Troy, OH, and Julie Larry Merkert of Troy, OH; one brother, Roscoe E. McKinney Jr. of Troy, OH; twelve grandchildren: Ryan Kirby, Kelly Oliver, Joe Pearson, Eric Pearson, Tara Pearson, Abbey McKinney, Grace McKinney, Lucas McKinney, Logan McKinney, Alex Merkert, Ben Merkert and Chad Merkert; two step-grandchildren: Nathan and Clinton Wintrow; and one great-granddaughter, Kaylee Pearson. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia McKinney Durst. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War and a Life Member and Past Commander of both VFW Post 5436 and AMVETS Post 88, Troy, Ohio. Bud loved spending time with his family and was an avid woodworker specializing in furniture. He retired in 1988 from Dinner Bell Foods. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday March 20, 2008, at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
